Disclaimer:
In the event of an accident, loss, theft or damage to personal effects of the Hirer and their clients, Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D developments accept no liability for any direct / indirect loss. The Hirer uses the site at their own risk.
Liability / Insurance:
Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments holds public liability insurance to a minimum of £5 million, which covers the site, buildings and employees and activities run by Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments.
Site Access:
Individual access arrangements will be made with the Hirer.
On arrival, it the gate is not open, you can access the site by using the 'fob' or by pressing the intercom button or by parking up and walking in (please do not obstruct the gate).
Allow the gate to open fully before driving through, please do not be tempted to drive through when the gate is half open.
On exiting the site, if the gate is closed it will automatically open. You must allow enough room for the gate to swing open.
Wait for it to fully open before driving through.
On arriving and leaving the site please respect the local residents and wildlife by driving in an appropriate manner.

There is 10mph speed limit in place on site. All vehicles need to abide by the limit and drive with due care and attention.
It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure all persons relating to their event are informed in advance and ensure that they drive within the speed limit.
If a driver is seen to be exceeding the speed limit or driving without due care and attention, then appropriate action will be taken by the management, which may result in the driver / Hirer being banned from driving on site.
Users should ensure that consideration is given to additional temporary traffic control measures if their activities necessitate it.
All bookings are to be made through the management and are subject to availability.
At the time of booking a 'named person' needs to be nominated, unless the 'Hirer' is present for the event. It is therefore the responsibility of the named person or Hirer to ensure that these terms and conditions are adhered too.
There is no subletting of the facility.
Any changes or amendments to a booking must be agreed by the management.
Any changes or amendments to a group activity booking, operated by Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments, need to be communicated and agreed with the management no later than 7 days before the event date.
Payment:
Booking of Activities operated by Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments.
Booking of Group Activities & School Groups -
To confirm booking a 50% deposit is required based on the group size agreed on enquiry. Until this point Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments have the right to reallocate the time slot to another Hirer.
Full payment is due within 1 week of event date.
Corporate Bookings paying by credit card are subject to a 4% surcharge.
Booking of individual hire of Stand-Up-Paddleboards, Kayaks and hire equipment.
Full payment is required in advance.
Booking of Kids Activity Camps or clubs.
Full payment is required in advance.
Cancellation Policy:
If cancellation of the event is made by Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments then firstly an alternative date will be discussed. If no agreement can be met then a full refund will be made.
If cancellation is made by the Hirer, Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments will work with the Hirer to honour the booking at a mutual and convenient date for both parties.
If this cannot be agreed, the cancelation policy is:
1 month before - Full refund
2 weeks before - 50% refund
1 week before - 10% refund
Within 1 week - No refund.
Weather - if the weather stops an event, by mutual agreement, as alternative date will be explored.
Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments will endeavor to maintain the water quality of the loch, however certain issues are out of our control. In the event of this affecting an event then a mutual agreement will be made.
Risk Assessment:
Activities operated by Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments
It is the responsibility of the Management to ensure that an appropriate Risk Assessment is carried out before any activities take place.
It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that they have read the Health & Safety instructions and listen to the instructors at all times when taking part in an activities.
Emergency Action Plan.
An emergency phone can be accessed at the Northern end of the Conference Centre building. Inside the box is the postcode for the site, grid reference, manager's contact details and gate code.
Mobile phone reception is limited at Knockburn, access to a landline can be found in the conference centre and in the yellow phone box at the side of the confernece centre.
First Aid:
Knockburn Loch / 2D Sports Limited / 2D Developments will provide First Aid cover for all activities that they operate.
All first aid incidents need to be reported to the Management.
If any first aid supplies are used, then the Management needs to be informed immediately.
