Aberdeen District Cycling Association. Youth Cluster Session - Sunday 10th May

On Sunday Aberdeen District Cycling Association held their first cluster training session on the new track at Knockburn. 51 members from 3 of the district cycle clubs; Deeside Thistle, Grampian Tigers and Ythan and by invitation Fleet Feet TriStars, all took part in the road skills session. Despite the weather, the spirits were high and the kids rode for 3 hours in the wind and rain developing their road riding skills on the purpose built cycle track. The session finished with a few short races, although most were tired and cold, this did not mean they backed off, big efforts given by all the way to the finish line. Participants were aged from 5 to 16 with a variety of ability and fitness level, however the coaches, all volunteers, made sure that the activities were inclusive.

If you have young ones interested in taking up cycling or developing their skills and fitness get in touch with your club by following the links below.

We run a membership scheme here at knockburn so individuals and families are able to access to the site and the facilities.
